Kayla Marutani is a junior and a first-year journalism writer. To her, the role of a journalist includes: effectively and clearly communicating news to the audience from an unbiased perspective. Their role is huge, regarding informing others about prominent news on campus; this can include information they may or may not be aware of. She looks forward to helping students gain a voice on campus. She enjoys sports and hanging out with her family and friends on her free time.
