Question: What is your opinion on the Chinese spy balloon?
In recent news, multiple balloons have been shot down by the U.S. Military. These balloons are believed to have been spy balloons from the Chinese government. Here are some of the Mid-Pacific community’s thoughts on that.
Logan Lau believes that the US shot the balloon down because they were curious about gathering intel and what was inside/on the balloon A funny connection that Logan Lau made was linking it to a game called Balloon Battle TD. This game is where monkeys pop the balloon with their darts.

Meeka Fontaine made note of how long it took for them to shoot it down. She was also glad that nobody was hurt and that nobody got injured.
“They took a long time to shoot it down, I believe it was because they were trying to not hurt anybody.””

Haojin Song said that he thought that the balloon getting shot down was funny because he believes that every country spies on each other.
“It’s funny. This is because every country spies on each other everyday. They got caught, so it’s funny. They make a big deal of it, even if the US spies on China too.””
